POETRY: RULES AND PLAYOFF INFORMATION

Poem shall have a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 24 lines.
Competitors write on a "theme" as designated by the SSFA Provincial Host Committee - The theme is “Active Aging: Mind & Body”.
Entries must be unpublished scripts. (Works which have appeared in a local newspaper, etc., and for which the competitor has NOT received payment ARE eligible for entry.)
Only one entry per competitor.
Entries must have been written since the last SSFA 55 + Games.
Two copies of the entry must be typewritten on 8 1/2" x 11" white paper, with 1 1/2" margins at top, bottom and sides. Competitor’s name and address must appear on one copy only. Handwritten entry will not be accepted.
Competitors submit their entries to their district representative in accordance with established deadlines. District Representatives can be found here.
In each district, the TOP THREE entries will advance to the Provincial 55+ games for final judging. Competitors are not required to accompany their entries to the games.

Short story of a minimum of 350 and a maximum of 500 words.
Competitors write on a "theme" as designated by the Host Community. The theme is “Active Aging: Mind & Body”.
Entries must be unpublished scripts. (Works which have appeared in a local newspaper, etc. and for which the competitor has NOT received payment ARE eligible for entry).
Only one entry per competitor.
Two copies of the entry must be typewritten on 8 1/2" x 11" white paper, double spaced - 250 words per page. Competitor’s name and address must appear on one copy only. Handwritten entry will not be accepted.
From each district the top three entries will advance to the Provincial SSFA 55 + Games for final judging. Competitors are not required to accompany their entries to the Games.
